Definition: actions bundle into one. A wrapper can be in the form of an .EXE, .MSI, .BAT/CMD or any preferred file format. Wrappers are for vendors (in my opinion) to check for & install requirements and the actual application. As vendors do not know how customer's environment looks like they include any requirements in the installation as a wrapper. One main task for InstallShield based MSI is that these needs/requires the installshield engine to be pre-installed so setup.exe will install ISScript.msi and then application.msi. Even Post-installs can exist.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
