Hi! I have a vendor-created msi, and I want to add a custom action to this msi.
I want this custom action to import some keys into the registry, this data is contained within a .reg file
What is the recommended way to add registry data like in this sitution?

I am not too sure, but is there a reason you dont want to create a transform with this registry information?

don't use a CA,
Add the registry to a component and condition the component if you need it deployed under certain situations and not others.

...but do that as KungfusOn says, via a transform. Do NOT edit the vendor MSI.
