Wise Repackaging Settings Afterwards
We currently use Wise Repackaging Studio 6 for developing packages. On programs that are already MSIs we of course dont repackage them but we use Installtailor to create a mst for the program and input all the necessary information before the program begins. The problem is some MSIs have settings before and afterwards. Does anybody know what you should do when you have a program that asks for settings beforehand and after installation? Also when i say settings afterwards i dont mean opening the program and configuring it i mean there is actual dialog boxes that come up after install. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Try and run a file/registry compair program before and after you do the after install configuration. You will offen find that these setting are saved either to the registy or file.
After you have this information try adding them into your mst.

Hi Ryan,
there are different reasons for things like this, but most often this is done by a call to the program itself or a Control Panel entry.
Please tell us, on which program you are working, right now.
