Wise for Windows Installer & RightFax 9.0

I've tried a few different ways of creating a MST for Active Directory GPO deployment. One of them was using Wise for Windows Installer, the second was using InstallTailor. I had a little success with InstallTailor, but it still failed installing.

I was wondering if anyone out there has tried this before, or has any ideas. I'd be glad to share the MST once I'm finished minus the CD-KEY/Upgrade code.

If you give some details on the failure, someone who hasn't seen Rightfax 9 might be able to help.

Sounds like a problem I had with 8.7.

You need to check the documentation to find out what commands in the setup.ini file set what install options you want, and enter those directly into the property table of your transform.

If you want more info, search for my rightfax post awhile back.

I curently delpoy RightFax8.5 via GPO. I used a pretty generic installation adding only a custom action to install the printer driver as follows:
(rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry [options] [@commandfile])
Another thing I found helpful was setting the RightFax print servers via a custom (ADM) policy (we have five RF servers).
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
