Windows Installer Pop-Up box Yes or No
Hello all
I've been working on an uninstall package for McKesson STAR Navigator 11.25.
I found the uninstall string in the registry however when I attempt to run it, I get a pop-up Windows dialog box asking "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product?" then you have to click yes or no to proceed.
I tried all switches /qb, /qb-!, /passive, /quiet, /qn, REMOVE=ALL however each time the pop-up box continues to appear.
Any idea how to suppress this?
UPDATE
I've been getting incredibly inconsistent results tonight. We have a fairly standard image of Windows XP SP2. From the time the image was deployed to now can be described as various state of updates for Windows Updates and other product updates. So, there's a good portion of the computers might be more updated than others. Here's what I'm getting to... it seems that when I deploy this package via SMS, using the msiexec.exe /X{uninstall string}/passive I've been getting 50/50 results. Some work others don't. Obviously for those that didn't run the uninstall it was stuck at the dialog box of Yes or No to uninstall.
