Will duplicating a KACE system image take up hard disk space?

Hi guys,

Can I if i were to duplicate a system image, will it copy a new instance of the image or will it just use the original image as a reference point?

For example, I have a system Image, lets call it 'system image a' and i create a duplicate of that image called 'system image b' for me to test out some pre and post-installation tasks. The original image takes up 50GB so when i create a duplicate image, will it add an additional 50GB or it will just use the original copy as reference and not add more disk space?

Any help would be appreciated.

Duplicating a KImage or native image will take up very little additional space.  The k2000 will point the new image to all the "original" files.  The K2 does need to create deployment scripts and a few other items, but it is minimal.
