WHQL certified driver won't install silently
Hi all,
I'm trying to install a device driver that is WHQL certified (according to the vendor) : http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm
I used dpinst together with a bunch of command line parameter combinations from /q /sw /lm /se ... nothing seems to work however. When I don't use the /q, there's this Continue Anyway / STOP Installation window popping up.
Is there a way to get these drivers installed? (it's for Windows XP)
I understood you can't silently install unsigned drivers, but isn't WHQL certified the same as signed?

WHQL certified means that they conform to windows programming standards as far as I am aware, but code signing is a different process entirely. You can code sign non WHQL drivers.....
