The available permissions are the same for any other field in a service desk.

  • Hidden
  • Read Only
  • Owners Only - Hidden from users
  • Owners Only - Visible to users
  • User create
  • User modify

If you set them to one of the owners levels then anyone that can be an owner in the queue will see the comments. How you access the queue will also affect this. We have all of our technicians use the adminui, so they tend to see more fields than if they used the userui.

    • Can you clarify how to do this? I do not see any place to modify the permissions of the Approval_Notes field. I can modify the settings of the APPROVAL_INFO field (that is, the name of the Approver) but neither the APPROVAL (that is, the status of the approval request) nor the APPROVAL_NOTES field. If you've been able to make the change you describe, please tell us how. Thanks! - DavidH@jfcs.org 11 years ago
