On page 35 of the Dell KACE K1000 Systems Management Appliance 6.4 Administrator Guide is this sentence:

The notification is added and it appears on the Email Alerts page.
The capitals and italics lead me to believe there's a specific page called "Email Alerts", but searching the document, googling, and searching this site doesn't lead me to finding that page. Is it simply referring to the Reporting/Notifications page (and if so, the book needs to make that clear)?

Thanks!

  • Both answers below provide good information - thanks! - but I'm still slightly unclear concerning my original question:

Is this Reporting/Notifications what the manual is specifically calling "the Email Alerts page"?

I understand that the Reporting/Notifications gets me to the same info, but the manual seems to imply that this section is *named* "the Email Alerts page", yet that name does not appear anywhere that I can find other than here on this page in the manual. Is the manual simply using bad terminology?

    Thanks!

When you go under Reporting, there's a subcategory called Notifications.  This is where the notification will be seen.

If you are also looking to just send a pop up message with whatever text you want to type out, that is now under Distribution > Alerts.

If is like the old net send but with the KBOX agent. I use mine to send out every friday at 4:30 pm that patching is tonight and have other messages read to send if, lets say email go down. I can send out a pop up to everyone online letting them know that.
