What to use to save user data when migrating using Kace.

We are beginning to look into migrating from Windows 7 Enterprise to Windows 10 and will need to save user configuration data like signatures, default file locations, favorites and desktop shortcuts... We use Kace for software installations and system imaging but have heard that USMT is not a good tool to use... So any thoughts would be appreciated....

We use windows migration via the k1000 to gather the mig file from the old machine and the tech then uses a copy of windows 7 easy transfer on a usb stick to put the files back on the new win10 machine just prior to delivery.

To create a working windows easy transfer usb stick to use on the windows 10 machines you need to copy from a windows 7 machine these 2 directories.  c:\windows\system32\migration and c:\windows\system32\migwiz.  Then run the migwiz.exe in the migwiz directory on a windows 10 machine and the easy transfer will guide you thru the rest.
