Same thing, different vendor.

WSI is created with WISE Package Studio.

MSI is the default microsoft format.

There are more differences in detail, but I don't think this info is needed this time.

If both working on their software they will reach the level, debian reached in 1999 with its own package system (file extension .deb)

.wsi is a project file which you can create when you do a setup capture with WISE package Studio. When you compile this .wsi file in WISE package studio it creates .msi file which is a widely used format for distribution of software.

WSI is a wise installer package.

MSI is microsoft software installer package. Most compatible for systems management appliances/technology.
