VMWare Kace install

Good day,

Just trying to work through an install to VM from Kace.

We had some issues with the KBE driver and that seems fine on the PE boot now after the correct drivers are installed.

The challenge we are having now is on the Windows XP setup portion of the install.

If we do not choose a Scsi driver F6 on the first part of the install the setup will fail with a blue screen 7B error.

How do I go about incorporating the VMscsi drivers - does this have to be done with a slipstream into the ISO?

Thanks in advance.

pjackson,

If this is for scripted install, then add this driver to your \\k2ip\drivers\windows_xp share. Recache the drivers and deploy again. This should pull the driver in for you automatically to be used during the text mode portion of setup in xp.

What is correct methodology when working with a "full" System Image as opposed to the scripted install? Would this MS doc be the "official" guide or is there a simpler approach? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314479
