Visual Studio .net 2k3 Deployment through GPO Error at end (followed tips too)
I've followed the instructions posted for making .net 2k3 work through GPO deployment... adding the entries to the msi properties from the log file (I even ran the regular prereqs manually)... I have also tried running the setup from the command line.. rather than with the msi and mst file that I modified/generated.. I still receive this error at the very end of the setup:
Error 5000.HrVSAnalyzerCAH() failed to register LEC (Valec.exe).
It then ends the install.. attempts to launch the studio result in a splash screen, but then it snaps off.
Has anyone else encountered this?

I am coming across the same error. I only encounter this error when i publish the MSI. Assigning it to the Machine is sucessful. The Devlopers would like this application published though.
