Visio 2007 + Upgrade to SP1 *help please*
[left] [/left]4.2.1.21 for Client and the most current Sequencer.[left] [/left][left]I have successfully sequenced Visio2k7 and it was sequenced to a path of v:\visio2k7\visio2k7.v01\[/left][left] [/left][left]Launches fine on the client.[/left][left] [/left][left]I then reopened sequenced visio2k7 for upgrade to SP1 in the sequencer. Began monitoring ran SP1 ended monitoring and hit save as to build new version.[/left][left] [/left][left]When it launches now I get error in event log[/left][left] [/left][left]Detection of product '{90120000-0051-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}', feature 'ProductNonBootFiles' failed during request for component '{137F4F20-9B16-45F8-9813-A3B5F7B5FF9E}'[/left][left] [/left][left]and [/left][left] [/left][left]on the screen when it launches to 100% it fails and says[/left][left] [/left][left]Microsoft Office Visio has not been installed for the current user. Please run setup to install the application.[/left][left] [/left][left]Has anyone successfully upgraded Microsoft Office Visio to SP1 or Office 2007 for that matter? Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?[/left][left] [/left][left]Thanks,[/left]

Blah, it looks like Windows Installer isn't happy with the install. You can look in the event log an get the GUID for the MSI component that failed detection but it looks like this component failed. {137F4F20-9B16-45F8-9813-A3B5F7B5FF9E}
Maybe open the MSI with a tool like Wise and figure out what that component installs. Then you should have a clue how to fix it.

A while ago I did the same thing but got an error ( i did not document the error), instead of upgrading I re-sequenced Visio with the sp1 and it worked. same case with project 2007 Standard
