Upgrading Office 2003 to Office 2007

Hi,

I am about to upgrade all of our users to office 2007.

Currently my office package is set up to do a silent install.

If someone has office 2003 open when I push 2007 out, how do I get around this? because it will fail
Thanks

You could try a pre-install message. Or deploy as a script which validates if there are any running processes that match Office apps.

With the upgrade from 2007 to 2010 the install will get to the point that it needs everything closed and prompt you to do so.

I have had no issues with starting the upgrade while users are actively using Office products. After rebuilding the MSP and hosting the Office ZIP file on one of our file servers that is.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
