Uninstalling a specifc feature of an application....

Hi,

This may have been covered before but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Our organisation does not have a site licence for Microsoft Access XP. We have a central administrative source for Office XP Pro and by default use a transform to disable AccessXP from installing. If a user needs AccessXP then we run the maintenance wizard to amend their installation and install Access.

The problem we're now having is finding a way to unistall Access if the user moves PCs etc....

Is it possible to uninstall a certain feature using msiexec /x or by using the .cmw file with maintenance wizard?

I know I could uninstall their entire OfficeXP and then reinstall with the original transform, but I thought there might be a quicker alternative.

Any ideas?

Regards,

NZ

Try

msiexec /i <Enter ProductCode GUID for Office XP Here> REMOVE=ACCESSFiles

add any silent switches (e.g. /qb-!) if required.
