Unattended (silent) install options for Java-based installers
So, i'm trying to deploy hyperion reports system 9 via silent install. The package is a beast, and not worth fighting to get into msi format.
I created a response file, and have it installing just fine via the following command line:
setup.exe -options "{currDir}\EssBase.rsp" -silent
only problem is, it is running via sms with system account, and many program shortcuts are missing via this method. So i'm looking for a way to pass all users = 1 to this silent command line. Any ideas? Thanks!

If the installer doesn't use Windows Installer (i.e. MSI) as its underlying technology, it will have no understanding of what the ALLUSERS property is, since that property is only relevant to WI/MSI. You either need to persist with capturing (the preferred route) or talk to the vendor (almost guaranteed route to insanity)
