Unable to install with /qb
Hi Everyone, Need Help!!
Main application installs other MSI at the end of the installation. This custom action is executing only in UI mode. I am unable to install other MSI with /qb switch. If I move the custom action to defferred it says "another installation is in progress.."
Please advice.

Nested MSIs are a Really Bad Idea. Condition-out the CA calling the other MSI and deploy it separately.

Isn't it a better idea to run the two MSI files through a batch file rather than calling internally?

its not good practice to nest msi's
you have not authored your CA's correctly that would seem to be the problem
what tool are you using and how have you authored you CA's
does it really have to be nested?
if you do a search I am sure I have posted something in the past on doing nested msi's using wise and it sure works

Its a Vendor MSI. They have used msiexec /i <msi name> command line. If i use nested installation it works fine.

If you're deploying this in your own environment then just install them in preferred order.
