Assuming you're using Microsoft App-V then I'm afraid you're pretty much out of luck - it doesn't really support context integration (other than placing the shortcut in the 'Send to' menu)..

Correct, because the Explorer.exe process runs outside the virtualization, it has no access to the context menu options from the virtualized WinRAR. It's the same for every other app with context menu options(the rightclick menu).

A trick to get it working is to start the Explorer inside the virtualization proces when you know how. But you can't use it this way on your clients. It just gives you an idea how or why it doesn't work, that's all.

Hi all,

Yes,The lack of context menu support is one my biggest gripes with App-V.All we can do is to add the shortcut to the Send To menu.

Thanks for your quick response guys, appreciate it.

To get the above result, double click the file extension under File Type Associations tab in Softgrid Management Console
-under Advanced tab check the 'Add to New Menu' tab box.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
