Unable to establish SSL connection to www.kace.com to update patch subscriptions

I have gone through the Konfig server setup and entered all the details and restarted, when i browse to the admin page i can enter all the licence details etc and click on Apply Settings and Reboot at the bottom but then i get two error messages,

* Unable to establish SSL connection to www.kace.com to update patch subscriptions.
* Double check konfig / konfig settings to ensure network connectivity to the KBOX.
I have played around with the proxy details and if they are wrong or incorrect i get this message

* Unable to establish connection to www.kace.com to validate license.

so i know the proxy details are correct when this doesn't come up, I've also gone into the options area and told it to force a yes to the SSL prompt but that didn't work, where else do i find the SSL settings?

Thanks
Damon

I would suggest trying it without the proxy (NAT). This will tell you whether the problem is with the KBOX configuration or your proxy server. It wouldn't surprise me if the proxy is the cause of the problem, as we've had similar issues.

I've tried it without the proxy but then i get the 3rd message * Unable to establish connection to www.kace.com to validate license. we can make an exception on our firewall for it, do you know what ports it uses for the SSL connection?

I having this same issue. I am able to register my license key, but a continue to get the following errors:

* Unable to establish SSL connection to www.kace.com to update patch subscriptions.
* Double check konfig / konfig settings to ensure network connectivity to the KBOX.

Port 443 is open out, do I need to get it open coming in as well?

Have you checked for proxy authentication issues?

EDIT:
The thing just started working on its own. Not sure why. Also, at first when I logged in it said our trial license expired, but clearly showed it still had 30 days. At some point this resovled itself as well. Maybe it was still doing some configuring of itself and I was too impatient.
End Edit!

I am having this problem as well:
* Unable to establish SSL connection to www.kace.com to update patch subscriptions.
* Double check konfig / konfig settings to ensure network connectivity to the KBOX.

I notice that it was solved by opening the port on the firewall for some. We have 443 open outgoing, but are still getting this error.

Thanks!

Hi!

Same issue with us:
* Unable to establish SSL connection to www.kace.com to update patch subscriptions.
* Double check konfig / konfig settings to ensure network connectivity to the KBOX.

Can someone tell me the webpages which the ssl-connection needs to open, so that i can check this ?

Thanks
