TYPE values
Hi,
I installed application MSOffice97 which is installing type values under the hive HKCU\software\Netscape\Viewers.
I have written a script to read the gr8est type value from the system and increment it and install my application type values..Now i need to uninstall my application inturn i need to uninstall the type values using a script.Are these type values are unique?If so i can search for the string and delete them.
Otherwise can i leave the type values on uninstall.Will it cause any problem to other applications.

Can't you just write the type values to a file and then reference that when you perform the uninstall process? That way it will work for all computers that you install the package onto.

sorry,i couldn't understand what u said...
But i am leaving the type values as i tried installing other versions of office which are installing the type values with the same data.So it will cause problem if i uninstall the type values.
