I have been reading a lot of people have praised the renaming of workstations using the WSNAme tool. the task sequence prior to incorporating this tool can join a WorkGroup and a Domain without any problems. Once I started trying to use the tool I have been having issues with the TS.

The tool does not work and when I try to execute the tool from a F8 window I am returned the error of "OSD Error the subsystem  needed to support the image type is not present." I tried to run the utility off of a network share, and received the same results. I found out that once the system build is complete the only way to re-run the tool is to have the computer disjoin the domain and re-join the workgroup. Any ideas?

The reason for using the tool instead of a script is we have a naming convention that when systems are moved we can automatically re-assing the name by serial number
