I'm currently part of a team developing a mobile app for KACE (we use K1000 to manage our Technology Services Desk). We intend to have the user log in, after which they should be able to view or edit their tickets or submit new tickets. However, we can't seem to currectly log in to the app. Does anyone know an easy way to do this?

Alternatively, we've looked at submitting an http request using kbox.grinnell.edu/userui/check_login.php?user=tremblay&password=pass but we don't know what to call the fields user and password. Thanks!

Colin, KACE is working on something right now that might help you. I'll see if I can get someone to reach out to you. Don't think we're ready to share code yet, but might be able to offer assistance or fill you in on our plans.

  • Is it possible to share when it might be done? Or what mobile platforms it will support?
    • The more the merrier. Just don't tell me it will only work in Windows 8 RT or I might vomit :)
    • Martin, the new K1 Mobile project will support iOS and Android at first with both phone and tablet formats.
  • Can't wait for this. It will be really useful for us.
    • Should be very soon now. Keep an eye out for official announcements from Dell KACE
  • This seems like a really neat idea! Can't wait to see what comes of this.
