To Wise or AdminStudio (thinking about switching)

Hi all,

In our corporation we are thinking about switching from Wise Package Studio to AdminStudio.
Main reason is that we think Wise is standing still since it was acquired by Symantec. The last two years almost nothing as been changed to the product.

We package MSI and make virtual packages for several products (Citrix virtualisation, ThinApp, App-V) for our customers. It seems Wise will stuck to their SVS product only and they haven't moved to MSI 4.5 support (as far as I know). Also Symantec isn't responding to my emails lately (also not on my question what will be in the next release and when we can expect it).
AdminStudio is doing already a big bunch of virtualisation and if I'm informed right they will support App-V next year.

Does anyone know what Symantec is up to with Wise and what we can expect in the next version (8.0 I hope...)

First of all I need to say that I'm not that happy with the acquisition through Symantec too. Some good weblinks (like requesting a feature or reporting a bug) have been replaced through a generic feedback form. How is this gonna work?

However we still love Wise Package Studio. MSI 4.5? Is this really a need? All the Vista functions are in 4.0 already.
Since we're moving to SVS, WPS is all we need.

I've noticed lately that Wise Package Studio has been announced within the beta portal. Let's wait and see what it all brings to the table.
