the file KREBOOT_PENDING-dellupdate still there after numerous reboots!

Morning,

The file KREBOOT_PENDING-dellupdate still there after numerous reboots!  This is on one machine so not a massive nightmare but is part of our Windows 10 roll-out so I need to make this work...

Any ideas on how to clear this file from C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE i'v retried deleting the file however after a reboot it is back...

I get pending reboot for this machine in KACE 1000 too.

Thanks.

  • Review any of your jobs that ask for a restart. Maybe there's a problem with one of the target labels? - JasonEgg 7 years ago
  • Thanks. Nothing is asking for a restart - just the file living happily in c:\programdata\dell\kace

THis machine is also having issues with patch detecting some may be something tied up with that... - Darkplace 7 years ago
  • I am having similar problem. After restart the machine KREBOOT_PENDING-dellupdate is not deleting automatically. There are many machines showing this status. Its happening only with Dell Updates not with Windows update. Is your issue resolved?

I have raised support request will Dell Kace and they are still investigation the same. - ManeSarkar 4 years ago
