takes a long time to build an irp
I am working on the packaging process of the "microsoft project" application. It is taking more than 15 hrs to just build an irp and still it is continuing, I dont understand the problem behind it, please suggest what can be done about it,

Are you using a virusscanner? If so disable this temporarily when building your IRP file.

Amala, there's a tool in the ORK (Custom Installation Wizard in the Office Resource Kit) to modify the MSI of this application, you don't need to repackage it!

KrisBcn means there's a tool in the ORK to create an MST so you don't have to alter Microsoft's MSI. You shouldn't be repackaging a vendor's MSI, that's one of the 20 commandments of packaging.
