Sysprep issues with TileDataModel service

I am building a Windows 10 Enterprise deployment within WMware workstation. I have no issues creating the image but when I go to sysprep with the new 4.0 the TileDataModel service keeps starting and keeping me from sysprepping. Has anyone had any experience with this. I stop the service and keep getting the same issue. I have rebuilt this image 10 times trying to see if I can get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

  • I started experiencing this with Windows 10 1709. I didn't have any issues with any build before that. - JamminITGuy 6 years ago

I had the exact same problem with win 10 enterprise. I guess you are using the "sysprep tool" from Kace....(Or quest).

When I stop the service..... it starts before I get the tool running. And the "fix issue" on the tool doesn't fix it or stop the TileDataModel service.

The only way I got it to work was by being lightning fast. I would stop the service........and as it was

stopping , I would  instantly start the tool.  Basically try to start the tool before the service has finished

stopping. So by the time the sysprep tool starts...the service has stopped. That little window gives the

sysprep tool the all-clear. Also I needed to turn of the window defender antivirus.

Worked for me. But It was really annoying.
