SW / Flash Player for W2K TS Server
Hi,
a customer wants the shockwave and flash plugin installed on his Citrix Terminal Servers
the view multimedia websites.
He has installed Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox 2. I already downloaded the Software.
For both Products there comes a exe and a msi file.
So iam wondering if i should install the exe or the msi file. Whats the diffrence?
And whats the diffrence between the shockwave slim and full version?
For the msi version, how could i create a mst file for that?
thanks for your help,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
the main difference between
the exe installers are a monolithic block, which you can't look inside an check what it's really doing.
With the MSI installer, you can analyze exactly what's going on. And most important: You can alter it via tranform.
The difference of SW full/slim are so called Xtras. This are plugins with certain functionalities.
So if you want to be on the safe side, use the full installer.
To create an MST, use ORCA. Search this forum and use Google.
