Hi All,

Do we need to use appropriate COM tables or REGISTRY Table? In some it will be mentioned to use COM tables and in some sites it will to use REGISTRY table. I have read this thread form appdeploy http://www.appdeploy.com/messageboards/printable.asp?m=36144 and i think it concludes to use COM tables.

In Microsoft Best Practices http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb204770(v=vs.85).aspx#good_repackage it states that not use TYPLIB table. Does this mean not to use just TYPLIB table and to use other COM tables like Progid?

And in my capture for an application I got all the typlib entries in TYPLIB table. Do i need to manually move all the entries to registry table?

My apologies for raising repeated discussion. I am not that clear so thought of asking it here.

Thanks for your views.

For this reason the latest admintudio repackager uses registry table for TypeLibs instead of TypeLib table.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
