SQL Reporting Question

I've gotten pretty familiar with reporting using existing data from within the K1000 but what if I wanted to query using an external source such as a user list csv?

Use case would be spitting out our current active users from LDAP into a CSV then feeding that into the reporting engine to spit out all the users it found that have devices and perhaps those who don't have a device.  This would help tremendously in keeping track of currently deployed machines as our inventory and user database have grown so much and include retired machines or in-storage/waiting to be deployed machines.

Anyone have a way to accomplish this or will I have to manually update a large sql query every time?

Thanks for any help!

Are your LDAP users being imported into KACE? If they are then you can use the USERS table for your reporting.

The only way to get external data into KACE is to create an asset and import the data into the asset. If that doesn't work then you might be better off using an external reporting tool that can link to both data sources. Perhaps MS Access would work in this situation.
