I have had a look for this is the Package Knowlegde base but only could find SPSS 12. SPSS 14 is different to the way the last one's was installed.

Could someone give me some advice to which is the best way to go about packaging this one up.

Many thanks in advice

I would suggest using a licence server... the licencing has changed with this release.
So to get a licence you run an activation wizard, get a hardware based key, then you combine this with your activation key. U then pick internet, ph or email communication.
To get a licence key.. then you whack that in... then its activated and licenced... lol
Ohh and picking internet to get the licence key.. make sure your not behind a proxy ... otherwise it will fail.

So yeah go the network licence/commuter lic if you can.
Sorry i cant offer more info, i havent packaged this application yet.
Just manually installed it.

The 'auth-code' parameter represents your authorization code. If you require a user name and password to access the internet, specify your credentials for 'proxy-username' and 'proxy-password'. An example of the above command line looks like this:

spssactivator abcdef123456 joesmith pass1234
