Software Catalog

Hello,

(to begin, I am french, my english is not perfect :p)
I am looking for a solution. I want to implement a Software Catalog. I mean, I want my users can start a software (web or local) where they can see all the software of my organisation. Choose one and install it themself.

I know SCCM doest that but I am looking for another solution to compare. I am looking for K1000.

To begin, I dont know the difference between K1000 and K2000 but I think K1000 is the software that I am looking for, but I am not sure if K1000 is a software catalog that users can choose and install software themself ?

Thanks for reply

  • You have to use the software to create the distribution they can have access to via the User Portal. They can't see all of them.

Some might be a little old but will get you started.

  • Ok thank you !

What do you mean "They can't see all of them" ? They don't see every software that you add for the users ?

The other big question for me is : I have an architecture with multiple forest with no trust relation (I am not sure of the term in eng).
Then, how can I configure K1000 for multi forest with no communication between ? - Yannka 7 years ago
    • "They can't see all of them" is more like "They can only see what you allow them to see using labels (which by default is nothing and not everything)"
As for "multi forest" I unfortunately don't know what that means. Is it a networking term? Can you describe it? - JasonEgg 7 years ago
