Software asset consolidation in Inventory
Hello everyone ,
We just upgraded Kace K1000 to version 6 and the agents deployed in the field to 6.0.1079. I read somewhere (maybe Dell's Kace site) that one of the benefits to upgrade to version 6 is to consolidate the software inventory. For example, instead of having each version listed separately
7-zip 4.65 10
7-zip 4.66 121
7-zip 9.20 15
7-zip 9.22 25
I will have
7-zip 4.X 131
7-zip 9.X 40
Is there something in particular I need to do to get these results in Inventory-Software ? I was under the impression that Kace will do the consolidation by itself
