skip group of users in Labels

Hi

Im planning to push Patches to 300 machines out of 300 machines, i will be skipping 50+ machines/users,
any rules to achieve this so that its easy to add or delete users/machines from the labels in future?

  • You seem to be using "users" and "machines" interchangeably, though only machines are valid in patch schedule labels. Maybe you have a good mapping of users to computers, but I know in our environment we do not. - JasonEgg 7 years ago

I created a smart label that applies to every machine that doesn't already have a label containing the word "Patching". I call that label "Patch Production" and target it for my main patching schedule. I then manually apply labels to other systems that require a different patching schedules, e.g. "Lab Patching", "Test Patching", "No Patching", etc.
