Setting DoNotUninstall Property

Hi All,

I use Wise for Windows Installer V 5.1 and want to set the DoNotUninstall property for one of the files in the installation.

From what I have read i need to set the file to 128. Now I am not sure where to set the file to 128. If i go to the tables tab in wise I can edit the codes but which table do i need to edit to set the correct value?

Or is there an eaiser way to set the file to DoNotUninstall?

Thanks

James

In Windows Installer Editor, change to Setup Editor View, go to the Components tab and choose the component you want to set to 'leave installed on uninstall' (if you want to set this property only on one file then make sure that you have only that file in a component) go to Details and check 'leave installed on uninstall'.

Cheers

Hi,

If you want to do it through the tables, goto the component table and increment the value in the attributes column by 16 - see here for more info.
