Set up mail in K1000

I'm trying to set up the mail function in the K1000.

In the K1000 Settings: Network, I've set up the SMTP server, SMTP User/Password

In the Service Desk configuration, Queue configuration, I've set up the Email Address as "mail@kbox1000.domain.com" and the Alt. Email Address as "mail@domain.com"

But when going to "Settings - Support - Troubleshooting Tools" and I test the "email sending", it reports me the following:

LOG: MAIN PANIC

  Rewrite of USER@kbox1000.DOMAIN.com yielded unqualified address "USER"

LOG: MAIN

  <= USER@kbox1000.DOMAIN.com U=www P=local S=463

I have the impression that the K1000 tries to send as "USER@kbox1000.DOMAIN.com" and this is not allowed in our company.

Why can't it just sent is with the Alt. Email Address which is in the example "Kace1000@DOMAIN.com"?

Or am I seeing things deifferent or am I doing something wrong?

Hello,

the sender will be always the queue email address. The Alternate address is only used as reply-to address.

As far as I know there are no ways round this behaviour.
