Windows service is a long-running executable that performs specific functions. Windows services can be configured to start when the operating system is booted and run in the background as long as Windows is running, or they can be started manually when required.

For more information you can refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_service

Windows Services are long-running executables that run on a computer. They can be started when the machine boots up, paused and restarted, and have no interaction with the user. So they're basically programs that run in the background.

Crikey...

Before you start packaging, you need to get a grip of some fundamentals connected with the Windows operating system. I am therefore not even going to add my usual 'recommended reading' text.

Wow! I followed this post just to enjoy your response. Must say I was a bit disappointed. VBScab is going soft.
