Repackaging Nokia PC Suite 6.1?

has anyone re-packaged the nokia pc suite 6.1? or does someone knows the internal setup switches from this application?
i have big trouble to distribute this software. to make a snapshot from this installation is almost impossible. if i try to install the the snapshot (.msi) the application doesn't run properly.
the self extracting .exe file from this application has a .msi in itself. but when i try to install this .msi file i always get the error message: "this installation cannot be run by directly launching the MSI package; you must run setup.exe"
does anyone has an idea?

Sounds like an Installshield exe with an msi inside.
If you want to repackage it then start the setup.exe and go to the first prompt after the Windows Installer check. Then start your capture from there.
There is also numerous switchs inside the vendor msi which you can turn off within an mst file. Installshield adds custom properties to check if setup.exe has been run...so turn them off.

I've also tried repackage this software with no luck. Currently i'm trying to repack the Software for the P900 SonyEricsson phones.

Ok, in a short while I will have to repack this software, But I vill only install the Sync engine, calles PC Sync i guess, atleast this was the name in the version Nokia PC Sync 5.x, then I managed to repack Nokia PC Sync 1.2 so I guess this cannot be more complex?? - or?

i didn't found out, how i have to use the switches correctly. and nokia seems to be unable to explain this more exactly.

I'v got problems while repackageing SonyEricsson p900 software.
I tried to install it using an MSI, that calls the included original setup with
silent switch and a answer file setup.iss, which i've created with the record
switch
Now the installation stops somewhere in the middle and still shows up two windows,
when i make my selections the installation proceeds successfully.
there seems to be a missing entry in my setup.iss, how could i find out what the correct
entry should look like ?
who could help ?
