Repackaging Lucent's VitalQIP - not capturing dlls

Hi,

I'm just in the midst of repackaging Lucent's VitalQIP 6.1.1 with InstallShield Repackager using the monitoring option.
The problem we are facing is, that apparently no dll registrations were captured. On my test machine it works. If I deploy the msi to another machine I get errors that soandso.dll is missing. All .dlls sit in one directory and seem to not get registered.

I'm pretty new to repackaging, does anybody have a hint for me?

Cheers,
Konstantin

(P.S. just repackaged an different app this morning that way and it worked fine..)

You could try this:

Find out which DLLs arent getting registered( Use RegMon/FileMon )

Capture the registry by Doing a RegSvr on the DLLs that arent registering correctly.

Import the Registry into your MSI.

If this doesnt work, check the permissions of the DLLs.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
