Regarding Wise Script Editor

I have a package and I customize it using the Wise Script Editor.

When I compile it, it create .exe and .msi for me. My question is that for .exe, the script that I added including all the customization works perfectly BUT when I try to run the .msi, it removes all of my script. So i tried to edit my .msi but the option for scripting in windows installer editor is not as complete as wise script editor. I also tried to convert .exe into .msi using legacy setup convertion and it also remove all of the scripts. Anybody know what should I do to make sure that i have my .msi and it keeps the script I added.

Thank you so much[8|]

sorry for the late reply,

so basically I'm learning this wise package software and I try to customize the dialog box and add some scripting using the wise script editor. For example my project name is MyTesting and the project is in sharedproject\project\myTesting.

When I compile Mytesting project, wise will create .exe file with weird name like Mytes.exe or something like that in PROJECT folder not the myTesting folder and it will also create mytesting.msi in myTesting folder. But the problem is that in that .msi file, it removes all of my script and customization. But when I run mytes.exe, it will execute my customization and the scripts that I edit but the problem is I don't want .exe. I want .msi

Legacy setup convertion doesn't work.... don't know about other possibility.

Hope u can help me

oh just in case I didn't answer ur previous question:

I also don't know why wise create .exe outside of the my project folder and also .msi inside of my project folder.

I just tried to add regular script option that are available on the script editor like reboot comp, open file, etc. It work when I run .exe that created after I compile the script editor but its not working if I try to run .msi.

Hope that help

Can you be more specific?

When you compile it gives you an executable and msi?

Are you trying to add custom script to an msi and its not working?
