Quick Time 7.5 install with auto-update turned off
Hi All,
I am new to this website. It is a great place where we help each other.
I have seen a couple of threads related to quicktime 7.5 player installation.
I am making an image with Quick Time 7.5 install. Does anyone has done it and got 100% success?
I am going throug diffrent forms on this website and people have the problem. Some solutions were posted but I have not found anything concrete.
I will appreciate if someone can provide the guidelines about this?
Thanks in advance,

Hello and welcome to the forum. As well as the message boards, a useful place to search for answers is in the package knowledgebase. There's plenty of notes about QuickTime 7.x in there. Here's the link
http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=520
(once there, you'll need to expand the "Notes" section on that page to read the various contributions that members have made regarding this application).
To help you out, this particular extract from the page looks like it may be useful to you :-
"To get rid of the tray icon and prevent the autoupdates, I set up the preferences on a reference machine, then copied
C:\Documents and Settings\all users\Application Data\QuickTime\QuickTime.qtp
to the target machine."
