Problem with selfhealing

Hi
Packaging itunes 10.5 and read the packagekb, self healning does not put the files in a new user profile. Appreciate any hint. Component Attributes are 144 and they are in itunes feature.

they are in itunes feature. Do some more reading on self-healing. They should be in a new feature, on their own, and you need to then make an existing feature which contains an advertised entry-point (normally an advertised shortcut) a child of this new feature.

I went that way in the begining, making itunes the chid feature, but encountered the same issue as [link]http://itninja.com/question/how-do-i-do-a-adim-install81&mpage=1&key=itunes𔶟[/link].
I had packaged itunes before and it had worked when the compnents were in itunes feature.
I will try it again and post back the log if it does not work.

Since we're talking files here, could the problem be that at time of repair there's no access to the original MSI from which the install was done? Or are you using the DuplicateFiles table?
And also, did you give the components containing the userprofile files keypaths that are HKCU registry keys?

Hi
In my first mst i think i did, now I´m doing a new one, The hkcu registry keys belong to iTunesSoundEffects, which seems to get repaired in self healing, is there really a need to move them? or have a HKCU entry in CurrentUser feature?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
