Problem installing drivers in SCCM 2007

I have an E6420 Dell laptop than I am trying to deploy drivers to via SCCM 2007.

During the image.
I edited the task sequence for hte image I am using ot test the driver installation.  So, after the PC is imaged, the task sequence should kick off and install the drivesr, which it does...however...The Broadcom USH, onboard NIC, and the STMicroelectronics drivers do not install.

After the image
I used the same package and pushed it out to the PC after the system was imaged.  All but the AMT (active management tech) installs.  If I remove AMT and refresh device manager, the driver installs just fine.

So why is there 2 different results when installing the drivers?  I am use executables for each driver to install.

no error in your task sequence? everything is done clearly? Take a look in maybe your smspxe.log ?

  • Nothing in the log files indicating a problem. I also have the task sequence set to stop on any error. - anonymous_85746 11 years ago
