I need to create a custom company PPT template to all PCs in our organization. I will need to create two packages: one for new users (who have never logged in) and one for current users (who have already logged in).

The default path for the blank.pot (default PPT template) is

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates.

The main issue I'm facing here is the "Templates" folders does not get created unless the user has already launched PowerPoint.

Anyone have any ideas how I could populate this to all users?

Read up regarding Active Setup.
Ed Tippelt has written some good stuff about this so please refer to this link http://www.etlengineering.com/installer/activesetup.txt

I thought someone would bring up good ole Active Setup! lol Anyways, would that work for my situation? I mean if the person has never launched PowerPoint, how would they get this installed (the templates folder would not yet exist).

The active setup would have to create the folder structure to the templates folder if not already exist and then add the file(s) in question.

Is there any way to do this through the Office Resource Kit and push through a group policy?
