My k1000 box will not come up, it has been crashing once a night and now this

Here are the things that KACE support will have you do in order to get this issue resolved.  If you can't do these things, do not reboot the appliance.  Contact support first.

If you can, FTP to it and pull your backup files:

Then, verify the backups are completing successfully:

Enable SSH by logging into the K1000 console with netdiag / netdiag. Run startsshd.

Download Putty and try to connect to the K1000 (it won't connect fully without root access):

 Once you are at this point, contact KACE support for further assistance.
