PDF

Hi
Can I capture PDF creator 1.3.0 on win XP and use that MSI on a win 7. I am thinking the drivers may be different with both, and there might be issue with this.

Is there a possibility to capture the drivers using Admin studio?

I did a capture using admin studio, it fails to capture the drivers, so, it does not create the PDF printer.
I tried with the WPS, I get the PDF printer as there is an option to select the drivers when capturing. (Client suggests to use the admin studio)

Please advice,
Thanks

When I manually run the msi twice, I mean when i do a reinstall the application shows the pdf creator printer. But it is not creating the pdf files. when i drop the documents (txt, notepad) it does not create the pdf. the other window does not show up, where it asks to save the file.

Look into using the DifXAPP merge modules. I even believe Installshield has a special tool to generate driver packages with it.
You'll need to have the (signed) driver files to make one of these (dll's .inf and .cat files)

Do you mean, I need to install DifXAPP as part of the msi?
Does admin studio has that feature to choose the drives..

This app works fine on XP, but not on win 7. Is it because the repacakge was on XP?

Please advice
Many Thanks
