Packaging Crystal Reports9 as a Native with Installshield

Hello people,

I have a problem when i am trying to make a transform(mst) for a native msi of Crystal Reports 9.
I work this time with Installshield. When i'm trying to add a merge module i get this error:

Error retreiving ModuleID for table

I work with Installshield 10.5.
I already tried to make a mst with Orca and Wise but then i get the same error when i trie to add a merge module in Installshield.
But when i trie to add the merge module in Wise it works fine. (The problem is it's not allowed for me to make it in Wise)

Also when i trie to add a merge module in another mst for another msi it works fine. So it is not a bad install of installshield.

Does anyone know what i can do to fix this?

Greetz,
Jeroen

Add the merge module with a tool that work for you;Wise, ORCA or what ever you use and then continue update the transform from IS then?

Thnx for your reaction...

I had that id in my mind already, but i was not allowed to do that.

I'm now out of options and asked for permission to do that.

Thnx again!

If it works with ORCA why shouldn't you be allowed to use that? Sounds like a dumb rule to me.
ORCA is free and we (packagers) use the tools that fits the needs.

I work for a customer that only wanted to work with installshield.

But we found an agreement.

I can understand the customer if they have bought InstallShield and not Wise , have been a war between IS & Wise as long as I can remember; the same as for Linux and Windows. But to just negclet ORCA that is so wide used (with or without any of the BIG packaging players) is no excuse.

Great that you found an agreement.
