One Note stopped working after launch

Hello,
I m facing this small issue with OneNote post installation. I installed One note 2007 on my machine and post installation, when i launch the application it brings up the following error message

I removed the entire 12.0 key under HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office and the application launched properly. I later imported this entire key after installing the application , but it doesnt seem to work. Does anybody have a solution to this problem

How did you install OneNote? By enabling the feature in your existing Office 2007 installation using msp or using seperate installer?

  • Using a separate installer. So if i enable this particular feature in MSP, will it resolve the launch issue?? - talonsprem87 11 years ago
  • It should.. Did you try that? - jagadeish 11 years ago
  • Well, i didnt try that, but found a small turn around. there was a HKCU reg file that i imported in my application post install and somehow the app started working again. - talonsprem87 11 years ago
