Adding ODBC entries

I read that adding ODBC entries through controlpanel--administrative tools--ODBC entries is the best way to add ODBC entries. What does it mean?

Most likely that it is the easiest way to add ODBC entrys manually. You get a wizard to configure the ODBC sources. Its also easy to get an overview of all ODBC connections User/System/File.

There are 2 different versions of ODBC for 32 bit and 64 bit in a 64 bit machine. The one in Control Panel is pointing to 32 bit.

If you have a 64 bit application having 64 bit ODBC then you need to point it accordingly.
