just waited 43 mins on hold then an automated machine asks me to leave a message and hangs up !!!!!!

good move Dell, I actually used to like Dell support.

  • Why are you blaming Dell they do not own Quest?
  • Dell, (KACE) have outsourced their support to Quest. I have called Dell support many times over the year and have mostly been pretty happy with them. My first experience with Quest kept me waiting on hold for 40+ mins, then in a chat session for about 10mins to be told Oh, we don't have access to the Dell DB anymore, we'll get back to you. So, first impressions not impressed at all.
    • Dell sold their entire software division (including KACE).

There has been a serious drop in service since Quest took over.  Most of the time its not even worth it to call. I have been repeatedly stood up for webex meetings and instead of resolutions just been directed to Dell User Voice.
